Born and raised in Queens, Conscious Toney gets his stage name from his late father, and describes his childhood neighborhood as a jungle. The young rapper started making music when he was just in the fourth grade. In an interview with 24 Hour Hip Hop, the artist notes that there was always music playing at home, since his brothers were total “music-heads”.
